Metro Beast Shelter is a 501c3 non-profit arrangement that opened its doors in July, 1994. Nosotros are funded past the Metropolis of Tuscaloosa, City of Northport, and Tuscaloosa County Commission. Along with those funds, we receive donations which are tax-deductible, redemption and adoption fees. We receive animals from both animal command and citizens. Our main focus is to seek equally many permanent, loving homes as possible for these animals. We encourage people to help in whatever manner possible. In addition to getting the animals out through adoptions and animal redemptions, we piece of work with many rescue groups who pull from us

Adoption Process

Everyone must fill out an adoption application. Please read it advisedly. If you hire or lease, please speak with your landlord before adopting and work out any requirements they set forth. Nosotros may have to call and verify your power to have pets where you live. We reserve the right to refuse adoption to anyone if nosotros feel potential adopter tin't meet the specific beast's needs (examples include, but non limited to: Not bad Pyrenees in an apartment, a Chihuahua being in a house with immature children knowing the canis familiaris is shy). When visiting the shelter, please allow yourself enough of time to meet the animals, complete the paperwork, and to inquire questions. It can take 30-45 minutes to complete the process, longer if information technology is really busy, which happens often.
